

During her high school years Audrey participated in several dance recitals as a tap dancer and tap dancer on roller skates. She was also a champion speed skater. Audrey graduated from Jamestown High School on June 26, 1946.
On June 23, 1951 Audrey married the love of her life Henry Dale Johnson in Jamestown, NY. She was a devoted military wife. Audrey and her husband were blessed with 5 children and with her husband’s military career they were given the opportunity to travel the world. They lived in Sampson AFB, NY; Lowry AFB, Denver, CO; Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA; Wiesbaden AFB, Germany; Altus AFB, OK and Anderson AFB, Guam. Their last assignment was at Warren AFB, Cheyenne, WY.
Audrey was always active in the military community as member of the NCO Wives Club. She was also her daughter’s Brownie Scout Leader. Audrey began her teaching career as a substitute teacher while stationed in Guam and continued teaching in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She later worked for the Laramie County School District until her retirement in 1991.
Audrey’s hobbies included bowling, cake decorating, puzzles, knitting, sewing, crocheting, dancing, hunting, fishing and traveling in their RV.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Kimberly Gresham, and her husband Dale who passed away on April 28, 2011.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother Thomas Entzminger, 3 sons: Dale Allan Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Doug Johnson; 2 daughters: Darlene Gresham, Denise Johnson; 7 grandchildren: Maurcell Gresham, Princess Bolden, Priscilla Greenlee, Ericka Greenlee, Troy Loghry-Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Aaron Johnson; 6 great-grandchildren: Ravenn, Jordyn, Kendall, Parker, Piercen, James, Jada; 2 great-great grandchildren Rayland and Thomas Jeremiah (TJ); son-in-law Wesley (Wes) Gresham, daughter-in-law Anne Johnson and Angel Johnson; granddaughter-in-law Carla Gresham and grandson-in-law Patrick Bolden.
Audrey departed this life on May 10, 2016. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandma and friend and she will be missed by all who knew her.
