Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at North Pointe Baptist Church, Hurst. Interment: 2:30 p.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with full military honors.
Bert was born July 14, 1920, in Salmon, Idaho, to Lawrence and Blanche Detton. He was a three-war veteran with the United States Army and officially retired in 1973 as a command sergeant major.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ella Allen Detton; and stepsons, John O. Hudson Jr. and Albert Hudson.
Survivors: Daughter-in-law, Minnie Hudson; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
