I was looking through the internet and saw that Charlie has passed on. The passing of Charlie floored me,even though I haven't seen Charlie in 20 years. Charlie was a good friend, and a good man. Charlie talked of Carmen and his kids whenever I would see him. I really don't know what else to say, but today is a very sad day for me. I do know, God will watch over him and his family. Rest in peace my friend!

Terry Guerra    My brother inlaw Charlie,my client,my friend.I was his hair dresser for 40 yrs.We laughed,talk ,we fuzz,agree and disagree.But it was all good.Charlie was a great inspiration to me.He wanted me to go to beauty school.I was 19,Charlie offered to be my guinea pig,my frist client.He said he knew I could make it.And I could practice on him.Wow so agreed we made a deal Free haircuts for always . When Iam licensed if I ever charged. 5 or 10 dallors.And we agreed.The years passed over time Charlie starts getting sick.I start talking to Charlie about The Lord.He fuzzed and sometimes do not want to hear it.He had pride.There was one stumbling block in Charlie life that kept him from receiving all the blessings The Lord.had for him. It was his pride.He didn't know how to let pride go.But I never gave up on him.Year after year Charlie s health is declining.Than one day he shows up all defeated does not look good.He looks at me ,he says I going to pass away and Iam never going to have grandchildren.I love your sister, my wife Carmel.I know how much she wants grandkids we both do.But can't give her that I don't know how.The Lord revealed to me he will have grandchildren before he passes away.But. has to let Pride go before he can see his grandchildren.Remember this day.I looked at him and said The Lord will not take you until you see your grandchildren and hold theam with your own hands.But you have to let pride go frist than the blessings will and shall come to pass.About 2 -3 month Charlie came to give me the good news.Frist grandbaby on the way shortly afer 2nd grandbaby on the way.He was so so happy couldn't believe it and couldn't wait. Charlie you got saved and receive his salvation AMEN.

My Dearest Charlie, it's been so long since we had seen each  other. I remember growing up you always thought of others and always helped anyone who needed help. You were truly loved  and you will be missed. Rest in peace my loving cousin.

Uncle Charlie you are missed and will forever be in our hearts. I always had fun at your house hanging out playing with the cousins. We were spoiled by you and Aunt Carmel,just like the saying goes” Mi casa es Su casa!” Playing and eating & having fun is what I remember! One highlight of my life is getting to go to Disney Land in California gosh was it fun long trip! Thanks for always keeping in contact with my Dad and checking up on him. If he was able I know he would sing a tune for you and play his guitar. We  will take care of the family in any way we can. We love you!! 

Taita, you will be missed.  Thank you for calling me daily even if you meant calling someone else some times. Lol
I will be forever greatful for all your encouraging words.  Thank you for always asking for my children, specially Joseph as he battled Covid.  Charlie, I love you!! ❤ you have plenty of family up in the Heaven.   P.S. Susie told Martin that you are okay. Oh,  I will shine brother! i will always do my best going forward.  

Charlie, I’m still in disbelief that you’re gone. You left so many great memories, with all your family, friends and people you came across with. Always smiling and ready to help anyone. I’m glad you were blessed with over 43 years of marriage with your beautiful wife Carmel , and children and your grandchildren.  What a blessing. I pray for strength and comfort  for your family during this time.   Rest easy.

Uncle Charlie,
It is difficult to believe that you are gone.  I can't remember a time in my life without you in it.  From my earliest childhood memories at the parks were we'd cook out every Sunday, and  the huge Christmas and New Year's Eve parties you would have at your house in Mansfield, into my adulthood and the times I would see you at my mom's shop getting your haircut.  You were a loyal and faithful man, and I remember that most about you.  Your loyalty to your family as well as your  loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys!   You were definitely  a man of your word.  I'm so thankful you were able to see and spend time with your precious grandbabies  and enjoy a lifetime with your beautiful, talented, strong and courageous wife before leaving to be in heaven with our Lord.  You leave behind a legacy of love, and family that will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Uncle Charlie. Until we see you again in the presence of the Lord!

brother Charlie as broken hearted that i am in losing you on this earth , and i am missing your daily calls , but i smile when i think of you walking the streets of gold with our king Jesus our savior and i am sure you had a chance to  see mom and dad and my honey and all the rest. you are probably asking  Susie when did you get here i thought you were taking care of me on earth , lol brother i will always miss you and remember you . i cant explain but so much  sadness , joy and peace go together . i pray you  are  the last one  to go home to Jesus in   awhile because to many of our loved ones have gone before us that  sometimes i don't who i am crying for this days . funny but true brother i miss you . We are all born to die but die to live ,so enjoy your eternity fela /sasa.

Good old Charlie,we agree on things and disagreed on things and we fuzz one another had great times, ups and downs but it was all good!! You see Charlie was my friend and brother-in-law he always checked up on me to make sure everything was all right. Charlie was my client I did his hair almost 40 years. I was 19 years old.  I had my first class on a men's haircut. Charlie was so happy that he offered to be my first client and cut his long hair! So we came into agreement that I would always cut his hair and if I ever charged him maybe five or ten dollars. I cut his long hair one side only and I froze and forgot how to do the other side😂 we could not stop laughing😂😂. But he told me I could do it andI did. The years went by and Charlie was starting to get sick year by year. He started to slow down. I would always talk to him about the Lord. Sometimes he didn't want to hear it But as time went by I could see how he was listening to what I had to say. He had a stumbling block that kept getting in the way. It was his pride he did not know how to forgive and let go. So that he could receive all the blessings and salvation the Lord had for him. So one day he walks in stressed and fatigue. He said I'm going to pass away and I'm never going to have grandkids . I love your sister,my wife Carmel.And I know how much she wants grandkids just like me. I want to give her that but I don't know how,I can't. And I looked at him and said remember this day the Lord will not take you until you see your grandkids you will see them and hold theam in yourown hands! When you forgive and let pride go , you will receive your salvation!We agreed and it came to pass. He was so happy to give me the good news that the grandchildren were on their way.He was happy he just couldn't believe it. He was overjoyed .He was so happy for Carmel. We were laughing because we couldn't believe it!😘Love you Charlie!!

One of my fondest memories I have of my Uncle Charlie is when I was living with him and my Aunt Carmel. He called me and said, "Mija, I hit your car, but don't worry it's not that bad. We'll get it fixed!" And one brand new door later it was fixed. He was a man of his word with a huge heart!

Uncle Charlie was a good man with a generous heart. The time my sister and I lived with him and Aunt Carmel were some of my happiest and fondest childhood memories that I’ve always held on to and for that I’m truly grateful. Rest In Peace Uncle Charlie.

I am Yvette Colson, Charle’s 2nd cousin, my mother is Mely DeLeon, Defiance,Ohio. Charle was older than me but I do  remember him as a teenager when we would go visit in Texas. As a fun loving guy!! Only saw him a few time in my life, but we always had that family connection!!! As I represent, the Medrano/DeLeons from Defiance, our deepest condolences to all Charle’s family. May he Rest In Peace. Til we all gather at the pearly gates. Love n peace!

Charlie thank you for always being yourself happy and kind and welcomed us always into your home no matter what occasion you always invited us to your home I remember way back when you and my brother Rey hang out either you were at our house or Rey was with you we were not just friends but we were family you always had a smile and that’s what I will always remember about you we luv you Roy saw u like a brother because you treated and excepted him like family too you will forever be in our hearts R.I.P. brother 😘😢

En verdad aún sigo sin poder creer que ya no este con nosotros y lo injusta que es la vida, en verdad qué hecho mucho de menos todas sus llamadas a lo largo del día, siempre preocupado por cómo estaba y porque me fuera bien a mí y a mi familia para mí Fue como un padre que se preocupo siempre por mí y no había cosa que yo necesitará usted hacía lo posible por ayudarme a conseguirlo sin interés alguno.
 Con el dolor muy grande en mi corazón no le digo adiós sino hasta pronto y gracias por ir a hacerle compañía a mi padre y a los seres que se nos han adelantado.
Dios sabe lo mucho que lo quise y lo que me está doliendo su Partida.

I can honestly say this tio of mine gave me some of the greatest memories I have growing up as a kid. Even as time went on it was always a joy to see and talk to you. I'm gonna miss you unc. Rest in Love! 

Thank you for always being their for us we will never forget how you never hesitated to help us.. We will miss the calls that you made to check up on us you cared and loved each one of us dearly. I’m thankful for the days you and Pat would visit Sasa’s Cafe and enjoyed some coffee and Sweet Bread having conversations about the family and life. How you loved your bread de Semitas from the Valley. We will always love you and miss you dearly Charlie Rest In Peace in the arms of Jesus.

Ay yay yay so so many beautiful memories were left in my heart with my brother Charlie and I’m more  than sure with each and everyone that knew him. But the memory Charlie was known off was that  phone. Calling everyone every single day just to check up on them.  Sorry Charlie for never telling you Thank you for those  phone calls. But the one thing I have peace is that we would tell each other I love you before we hanged up. Charlie I will  miss your voice telling me * how is everyone * oh one last one, If he new I was going to Arlington he would call me so if I could buy him some semitas  and pink cookies for Carmel from Marines Bakery from Weslaco Texas.  Well brother you left me with a broken heart but I know  your in a better place where there’s no more pain and no more suffering .  R.I.P. Brother . Miss you already 💔😢

There are decades of good memories of my brother in law. I’m at a loss of words. I’m trying to wrap my head around why this happened to him.  I pray God gives solace to his wife, 3 sons, grandchildren and all his surviving siblings .

I have many great memories of my cousin Charlie but the most profound one was his generosity. I can honestly say I was the recipient many time over. There wasn’t a time that I was traveling to DFW that Charlie didn’t open your home to me. I never once doubted that if I needed a place to stay Charlie wouldn’t hesitate to say “Vente pa ca primo”. I treasure those memories I made with little Charlie an PJ. I remember playing little pranks on both of them, telling PJ scary stories and getting to know the area better because of little Charlie. Thanks to Big Charlie I developed a special bond with the boys. My sincerest condolences to you, please know that you are in my prayers and I appreciate all you did for my cousin. I leave you with this memory I have of Charlie. It’s Sunday and the Cowboys were going to play, all the guys are huddled around looking at each other sad because well we were all broke. Then Charlie looks around feels the vibe and let’s a scream “Que se prenda el bote”!!! He immediately cheered everyone up and all was well. God Bless you, RIP Charlie. 

My brother Charlie, gone too soon from this Earth!   We love you and you will be missed... especially your voice and phone calls! Oh  but on that day when we meet again we will celebrate and rejoice together in the presence of the Lord.   Rest In Peace Charlie!! 

Oh my uncle Charlie, I’m at a loss of words that your no longer with us! You were  so good to me and my mom’s biggest supporter . I used to love coming into the cafe and seeing you there we would chat and catch up on the current events of my life! I’ll always hold those times dear to my heart! My uncle Charlie will be truly missed my many especially those on his phone call list! He would always tell “ hey take care of your self”  and that’s what I will do!  Till we meet again uncle Charlie!
