Enrique Reyes Ojeda

Enrique Reyes Ojeda, age 87 of Grand Prairie, passed away on March 4, 2017. He was born on April 18, 1929 in Three Rivers, Texas, the son of Miguel Ojeda, Sr. and Maria Reyes Ojeda. Enrique married Carmen Esparza and they celebrated 54 years of marriage before her passing in 2009.

Enrique is survived by his children Patricia Ojeda, Maria Hill and husband Calvin, Carolina Ojeda, Ricardo Ojeda and wife Donna, and Enrique E. Ojeda; grandchildren David Kacin, Tony Ojeda, Matthew Stokes, and Ricky Ojeda; brothers Miguel Ojeda and Raymond Ojeda; sisters Teresa Chapa and Carolina Longoria.

Enrique proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as Master Sergeant after 22 years. He later worked for the Navy Exchange at the Dallas air station and Lone Star Gas. Enrique collected model railroads, enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, listening to music, collecting comic books, and watching the news and baseball. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel in Grand Prairie, as well as the B-36 Bomb Wing Association. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with family and friends, all of whom will miss him.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 12 from 2-4PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 11AM on Monday, March 13 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church 2910 Corn Valley Rd. Grand Prairie. Interment will follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
