Words are inadequate in expressing how deeply my siblings
Charles, Mel, Jeanette, brother-in-law Don, and I are going to miss 
Sweet Cousin Helen, who was more like our lovable and supportive sister with a sense of humor that was second to none.
What a gift she was to us all!

May her memory be a blessing to
her many family members and friends who loved her so very much.

Dear Cheryl and Larry,                  Im so sorry for the loss of your mom. I've been thinking of all the fun times we had. I loved spending the night at y'all's house when I was a kid. Your parents both made me feel at home in their house. It was really a loving home. Your dad made me gobble for everyone. I think of them alot. It was a privilege to get to know them both. I grew up in Arlington and went to school with Cheryl and her cousin Cathy Fisher Hrabal.  My earliest memories of Helen were her extraordinary dark eyes and hair... she was such a classy lady! Much like my mom, she was a straight shooter... no non-sense wisdom giving wise cracker. I know she will be forever missed by all who loved her. Larry and Cheryl, may you and your families be blessed with the knowledge that she is at the right hand of God, dancing with your daddy!

Aunt Helen always had the best stories! And she was never above telling one on herself along with one on you! Watching her and Dad (Jr) pick at each other was hilarious! Best laugh ever!! No one has a bigger heart!  She loved everybody.  She made each person feel they were her favorite in any given moment. But don't cross her! 🙂 I was never just Susie to her. I was always "my Susie".  She would say, "There's my Susie!" And I would melt into her big Mama Bear hug! Gonna miss her. All the love I can give to Larry, Cheryl and family. Helen you were a person who wouldn't take any crap from anyone and would tell a person just how it is . and I loved this about you! I am glad to have know you and will always remember you as this strong lady . And also a women with a big heart  who many times would step up and  help a family member in need when no one else could . You will always be missed and fondly remembered .

I have so many wonderful memories of playing with Helen when we were just children.  My brother and I lived in  Cleburne and it was so much fun to go to Arlington & run wild with those other Fisher cousins.  We ran all over the place, kicking up dirt, calling each other names & laughing.  We had to bring in water from the well to cook dinner and I know that was such a daily chore for them, but it was exciting for me.  Then, we had to go home, getting a lecture about the many different words we heard never to be repeated except for a “mouth-washing”.  So happy that Larry & Cheryl have so many wonderful memories, but my heart breaks for their deep loss and sad, sweet hearts.

It is still so hard to believe you have gone on to heaven. Words could never explain the hurt I feel in my heart but, the joy I have as well.  I know Uncle Johnny was waiting with arms wide open when you entered the pearly gates of heaven. I will miss our sweet talks and strolls down memory lane. You have always held a special place in my heart. Please watch over my family & I. I will be forever loving & missing you. Until we meet again...Love Your Baby Julie 

I will always remember the day I met Helen. I had moved in next door and her late husband Johnny invited me over for a bite. (I worked at the store and Johnny would come buy lottery tickets). The look on her face when she saw me walk through the door was priceless, as she was not expecting anyone. Johnny had a lot to hear that night as she recollected with her naughty laugh. I slowly grew on her and that’s what started a long friendship.
Helen was a mom to me and a grandmother to my son Dan. She would always refer to him as “My Boy”. She was there holding my hand when I gave birth. It was hard for us and it broke her heart, not for me, but her little boy as we had to move away. Though we talked all the time but deep down we missed each other dearly. At the end of every conversation, she would say, I pray for Dan every day. Who will pray for my boy now…? I know God will put her in a special place where she can watch over him.
I will forever cherish her love and support and carry her in my heart.
Larry and Cheryl, your mother was a beautiful person with a kind soul and will never be forgotten. I am sorry I was not there to say goodbye.

I’m a friend and co-worker of Larry’s and I met his Momma Helen a few years back at her house.
She said “If you can get that big iron yard ornament off my property you can have it”
I said yes Ma’am and that’s what Larry and I did that day, thanks to Helen we’ve enjoyed smoked briskets, hams and thanksgiving turkey’s from that big bad smoke pit that Larry’s Daddy built many years ago.
Rest in peace and god bless you Miss Helen.
