

Jerome Jacob Abrego, age 41 of Arlington, passed away on July 20, 2017. He was born on July 20, 1976 in Albert Lea, Minnesota, the son of Victor Abrego and Margaret Ramirez. Jerome married Sandra DeNoia on March 22, 2008 and they celebrated 9 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife Sande, Jerome is survived by daughters Janine and Amanda Torres; granddaughter Kennedy Cannon; Mother and Stepfather Margaret and Sammy Rodriguez; his father Victor Abrego; sisters Anita Abrego, Anissa Abrego, Jessica Vasquez and her husband Edgar, and Samara Brkich and her husband Austin; his brother Jonathan Vera; and many nieces and nephews.
Jerome grew up in San Angelo, where he worked as an analysist for Verizon. He moved to Arlington in 2006 then married his wife, Sande and raised their family. Jerome was also a skilled handyman who enjoyed remodeling projects, from electronics to home improvements, and woodworking. Jerome was an excellent cook and baker, who always liked to share with his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed road trips and traveling with his family, time at the casino, and was an avid Star Wars fan. Jerome also enjoyed spending time with kids, and was often a mentor to many with his strong family values and loving home. Jerome’s greatest enjoyment was the time he spent with family and friends, all of whom will greatly miss him.
Visitation will be Monday, July 24 from 5-8PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11AM Tuesday, July 25 at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, with Deacon Bill Johnson as celebrant.
