

He was born on July 28,1996, in Arlington. He attended James Bowie High School and graduated in 2014. He continued his education at the University of Texas at Arlington and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
Joseph made a career in TV broadcasting, working for KTEN in Ardmore, Oklahoma and KSNB in Hastings, Nebraska.
Joseph was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity and the University of Texas at Arlington Alumni Association.
He had a passion for sports, especially baseball and football, and loved history and classic movies.
He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Scanlan, and his brother, Jacob Scanlan, his aunt, Cathleen Scanlan, and cousin, Madeline Scanlan Church.
