

Kenneth was born on April 26, 1960 in Houston, Texas, the oldest of Allan and Betty Koerth’s four children. He was the beloved husband of Karen Weigelt Koerth. They were married on October 11, 1986 at Park Place Lutheran Church, Houston, Texas. Kenneth was the proud father of two wonderful children Nicole and Zachary.
Kenneth was a 1979 graduate of Dulles High School, Sugar Land, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston in May of 1983. Kenneth worked for over 30 years as an accountant in the convenience store business, working for U-Totem, 7-Eleven, and most recently, Dean Foods.
Spending time with family was a priority for Kenneth. He helped foster a love for the outdoors in his son and daughter, enjoying numerous family vacations to state parks and national parks, and serving as a Committee Member with Boy Scout Troop 396 in Arlington, Texas. As a “self-proclaimed grill and pit master”, Kenneth shared this enthusiasm with his children at the annual Yaga’s Wild-Game Cook-Off in Galveston, Texas. Kenneth was also a skilled craftsman and enjoyed sharing his woodworking talents with both of his children.
Kenneth will be lovingly remembered by his wife Karen; daughter Nicole; son Zachary; Parents, Allan and Betty Koerth; Siblings, David and wife Michelle Koerth, Charles and wife Teri Koerth, Melinda and husband Jon Hubbard; and extended family Jim and Barbara Parish, Mark and Jeanette Shepherd, Mike and Denise McHugh; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends and co-workers.
He is preceded in death by: Grandparents Edward and Bertha Koerth of Greenvine, Texas; Joseph and Carrie Avery of Homer, Louisiana; and several aunts and uncles
Visitation will be on Thursday January 22, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Road, Arlington, Texas. The Funeral Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 5 p.m. at Shepherd of Life Lutheran Church, 715 E. Lamar Boulevard, Arlington, Texas. Interment will be at Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top, Texas. Funeral arrangements are being provided by Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, Arlington, Texas.
Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society, Shepherd of Life Lutheran Church, or Boy Scouts of America.
