Lawrence E. Ciebien

Lawrence (Larry) Ciebien, 73, passed away July 3, 2016 in Arlington Texas after a five year battle with lung cancer. Larry is survived by his wife Barbara Ciebien, stepdaughter Tamara Vassey, her husband Terry and son Clint in California and family in Chicago.

Larry graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with a Master’s Degree in

Business Administration. He was self-employed with a contracting business for

almost 30 years and became a Certified Home Inspector several years prior to

retirement.

He was an accomplished Concertina musician and started a Polish band in Chicago with friends. As a young adult he enjoyed bowling and roller skating and was the floor manager at The Hub Roller Rink in Chicago. Larry preferred classic movies and westerns and was a tremendous John Wayne fan. He always looked forward to watching NASCAR racing and his favorite sports teams, the Chicago Cubs, White Sox and Bears and the Texas Rangers.

Larry also enjoyed carpentry and design, electronics and working outside in the yard. He was truly a perfectionist in all his work. Larry is loved dearly by his wife and family, and will continue to be missed.

No services will be held, at the request of Mr. Ciebien. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be most appreciated with donor cards forwarded to Larry’s wife, Barbara.
