Mary Ann "Mimi" Netto, 91, of Arlington, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 11th, 2025. Up until the end, Mimi maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, love of family and friends, and expressed gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful experiences and memories. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed.
Mary Ann was born in Honey Grove, TX on August 23rd, 1934 to Eli Jannie "Jack" Covington and Mary Francis "Sissy" Baker Covington.
Mimi's infectious laughter, sense of humor and loving spirit brightened the lives of all who knew her. She never met a stranger. One of Mimi's many talents was her love of the piano. From the young age of 3 she started playing the piano by ear. She continued her love of entertaining family and friends throughout her life.
Mimi is survived by her two daughters Carla Ann Netto Herrington, and her spouse Scott C. Hearrington; Betsy Marie Netto, and her spouse Amy L. Kirk; and her son Jeffrey Baker Netto. Mimi was proud to see her granddaughter, Sissy Marie Netto grow into a wonderful woman and mother and was ecstatic to spend time with her great grandchildren, Beau Wilder, Jameson Grey, Kinsley Tate and Paisley Lynn. If you look close enough, you can see pieces of Mimi in each and every one of her "children".
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of just shy 50 years, Thomas Netto.
A celebration of Mimi's life will be held on October 18th, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. The family invites all who knew Mimi to attend and share their favorite memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association of North Texas.
