

Nick was born in Kingston upon Thames, London, England on February 6, 1951, born to Sylvia Sylvester Parsley and John Parsley. His mother later remarried James A. Lashmet, whom Nick was adopted by in 1959.
He graduated from Rantoul Township High School in Rantoul, Illinois in 1969.
He studied art and graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1973.
He retired in 2009 from Army & Air Force Exchange Service after 27 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and stepfather, half sister Christine Parsley Adams of Ireland and stepbrother Stefan Davies of England.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Gonzales Lashmet of Arlington, TX; two daughters: Valerie (husband Bryan Hesters) of Leander, TX and Samantha (husband Patrick Irish and children Amariah, Ethan and Isabella) of Arlington, TX; son: Bryan J. Lashmet of Arlington, TX; granddaughter Felicity Hesters.
He is also survived by half sister Carole Parsley Hall of England; stepsister: Gayle Davies Willis of England; and stepmother Barbara Parsley of England.
Nick was a wonderful loving husband, father and grandfather. He was kind and generous to everyone. Everyone loved his dry sense of humor. He was a talented and creative artist who had a passion for music, especially for his favorite group, The Beatles. He was a serious sports fan who loved the New York Yankees, Chicago Bears, Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars. He enjoyed art, playing the guitar, cars, gardening, reading, movies, and listening to music every day.
Memories of Nick will always be cherished. He will forever be loved and missed.
