Nicole was welcomed into the family of Tom, Joni, and Jennifer Pyron, 1/28/90 during half time of the Super Bowl. When she was two years old she moved from Moore, OK to Edmond, OK. At age four, Nicole began her studies in music - vocal and piano. Her first instructor Angie McKenna stated that she could “hold a note longer than anyone she knew.” Nicole attended Northern Hills Elementary, Sequoyah Middle School, & Edmond North High School. While at Edmond North, Nicole was an active member in several clubs: National Honor Society, Student Council, Vocal Music, Orchestra and Cross Country. Nicole organized ‘Northern Lights’ a citywide event supporting local Edmond rock bands. Nicole transferred to James Martin High School in Arlington, TX her junior year. She excelled academically and was an officer of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Cross Country team and the Martin Choir. Nicole was selected as a member of the elite performance TMEA Honors Choir while at Martin High, which traveled to New York to perform for the United Nations. She graduated in 2008 as an Honors Graduate with Distinguished Achievement. Upon graduation, Nicole traveled a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ trip throughout Italy.
Nicole received scholarships to the University of North Texas where she was pursuing a degree in kinesthesiology. Her dream was to become the first to achieve a doctorate in her family in Physical Therapy. She worked for the Counseling Office as a work study during her three years at UNT. Nicole enjoyed her job, and felt as if her bosses, Diane & Kathryn were her ‘second moms.’ She was always very upbeat, kept a bright and warm smile on her face, and studied during clinic downtime. She was the world’s best multi-tasker and organizer. The faculty, all her co-workers and clients loved her and her upbeat disposition.
Nicole’s true love in life was horses - caring for them, riding them and loving them. She rode modified English & competed in several horse shows throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Nicole enjoyed visiting her grandfather’s thoroughbred ranch in McAlester, OK, especially around the holidays and special family celebrations. We called her the ‘Horse Whisperer.’ She also unconditionally loved her orange cat, Ziggy and yellow lab, Milo. Both animals are well-known by all because of their sweet disposition, welcoming demeanor and smiles. Just like their mama.
Nicole always went above and beyond in anything she set out to accomplish. She was very goal oriented, ambitious and successful in achieving any goal. Once Nicole set her mind to it, she got it done! She was a free spirit and had a spark that brightened any room she entered - with her contagious laugh she melted life’s problems away. She was also an avid writer and reader. Nicole loved to visit her family in OK. She played pitch and dominoes with her grandmother to ‘humor her.’ Friends describe Nicole as “one of the most beautiful souls they have ever met.” She was very outgoing, sweet, kind, caring and all children and animals loved her. Her family and friends will miss her smile, her beauty, her intelligence, her energy, her competitive spirit, her laughter, her singing and piano performing, her writing, her loyalty and dedication, her kind heart, and her love for family, friends, music and God. Nicole’s young life was so full of promise and potential to have ended so suddenly. We will cherish our memories of her forever.
