Nori was a graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service and she also earned her Master Certificate in Telecommunications. She served as a first responder dispatcher for Mansfield Police and Fire for 14 years and began serving as a first responder dispatcher for Burleson Police Department in March of 2020. Nori's interests included Star Wars and Disney. She loved writing, baking, making handmade soaps, collecting figurines and trinkets, and musical theatre. Nori will be remembered for her contagious smile and her witty disposition. She was the kindest person you could ever meet. She had a beautiful, caring heart and was passionate about helping others; she loved her profession and it showed. Most of all, Nori was the best mother. She loved her daughter, Laurisa, more than anything.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and whose lives she touched.

I worked with Norilisse at Mansfield PD for nearly three years. Oh the laughs we shared. Norilisse and I were always making each other laugh. She was just the sweetest. I wish I could share the stories. Like when we got lost in Kaufman Co. trying to go to a Dispatcher training class. That was an adventure. Although we hadn't spoken in years sometimes it still feels like yesterday. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to the family and both PD families. #RIH

I did not personally know Nori but I do know she is family. Having served in Communications 911 for 23 yrs I feel blessed to call her family. I wished I would have gotten to meet her after reading so many kind words written by her previous colleagues. I'm so sorry for our loss but Heaven's gain. Thank you Nori for your many years of dedicated service in Public Safety. Rest on High, we will see you soon...

Norilisse and I only worked together for five years but in that time, she left a lasting impression. She was such a kind and gentle person and often a breath of fresh, calm air in what was usually a high stress environment. My heart absolutely breaks for her family, friends and co-workers. You all are in my prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
