July 18, 1957 - November 26, 2024
Richard Barber, a larger-than-life figure with a heart of gold, left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone he touched. His passing on November 26, 2024, leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy will live on through the countless memories and stories that will continue to inspire and uplift us.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Richard served his country with honor and distinction, rising to the rank of Sergeant. After his military service, he continued to serve and protect others as a security guard.
But Richard's impact went far beyond his professional life. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. He was a master builder of computers, a passionate fan of football, and a lifelong enthusiast of military history and strategy.
Richard is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Barber; daughter, Veronica Barber; granddaughters, Audrey Prater and Maggie Shorrock; and brothers, Tim Barber and Charles Barber.
As we celebrate Richard's life, we take comfort in the knowledge that his spirit will continue to inspire us to live life to the fullest, to cherish every moment, and to never stop exploring and discovering. Rest in peace, Richard. Your memory will be a blessing to us all.
