In his youth, Rick served honorably in the Marine Corps, where he developed a deep sense of duty and camaraderie that would stay with him for the rest of his life. After his service, he embarked on a successful career, working for notable companies such as Hughes Helicopter, Panasonic Holdings Corporation, Source One Marketing and Marriott International. His dedication and work ethic were admired by colleagues and friends alike.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Rick was passionate about life. He was an avid surfer, lover of camping, and enjoyed motorcycle riding and boating. His adventurous spirit took him to beautiful beaches and breathtaking locations worldwide. Friends and family will fondly remember Rick's handlebar mustache, his sunglasses casually draped around his neck, and his drink in hand, always ready for the next wave or camping trip.
Rick's last few years were spent at UT Southwestern and Mansfield Medical Lodge, where he faced his prolonged illness with a fight like no other. His family will forever be grateful for the compassionate care he received from them during this time.
