Robert John Aquino, III, known by those that loved him as Robby, Bubba, and most importantly Dad, went to Heaven on August 16, 2021. He was the first-born son of Robert John Aquino, Jr, and Elizabeth Ann Sharp Aquino. He brought a great purpose and joy to their lives. To know Robby was to love Robby, as his friends quickly became his family. Robby loved being a cowboy, driving a truck, raising animals, and being of Italian heritage. He also took great pride in being a big brother to Karrye and Anthony, being an uncle to his nieces and nephews, and believed that being a cousin was just as important as being a brother.
His life forever changed the day he became a daddy. Other than his faith in God, his greatest honor was being Lerin, Robbyn, Aleigh Elizabeth, and Robert Scott’s father. He treasured his children, and the smile he had when he saw his children will be missed.
Robby graduated from James Martin High School in 1991 and was a member of the football team and Future Farmers of America, where he held leadership roles. He made and kept friends for life, and until his last breath, he still had strong relationships with his high school and college friends.
He supported his children in their endeavors. Robby celebrated his children when they showed lambs at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. He worked diligently to provide them the kind of opportunities other children might never have, such as seeing their dad ride in the Grand Entry of the Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo, riding horses in the Stock Show and Rodeo Parade, and treating his children like royalty as they rode in parades with him to celebrate Christmas and Independence Day.
Robby was a country boy at heart and always longed to live on a “piece of land”. As life changed for Robby, God made a way for him to do just that. He was very thankful for the opportunity.
Robby enjoyed hard work and was grateful for his job. He often spoke of the encouragement he received from his company, especially when putting his children first. He thanked God for that kind of support.
As the Vice President of General Contracting at Amigos Restoration, he often had the opportunity to play the part of Superman and help families rebuild their houses and their lives.
Robby died of a broken heart. He was born that way, but he still woke up every morning, prayed for his children, put his boots on, and used his mended heart to show the love of Christ. If you were blessed to know him and love him with your whole heart, you knew that to be true.
Surviving family is the mother of his children, Leigh Aquino, daughters Lerin, Robbyn, Aleigh Elizabeth, son Robert Scott, parents Robert and Elizabeth, brother Anthony and his family, sister Karrye Burt and her family, and friends too numerous to list.
