March 10, 1943- May 31, 2025
Ronald J. Grim passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born on March 10, 1943, in Seattle, Washington, Ron lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep faith, and devotion to his family and community. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1965, where he played trombone in the university band and was an accomplished All-American swimmer on the Texas Tech swim team. Following graduation, Ron was drafted and served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Throughout his career, Ron worked as a logistics and materials manager for both the U.S. Army and several retail organizations. He also pursued his love of music by running a music store in Arlington, Music Spectrum, which he operated with Michelle. After closing the store, Ron took time off work to help raise his three grandsons. He also volunteered for many years at Most Blessed Sacrament, assisting with Michelle’s liturgy ministry and performing building management tasks. In addition, he played an integral role in supporting Michelle’s freelance piano teaching business.
Ron was an avid reader, history enthusiast, and lover of old westerns.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Michelle, and their three daughters: Kristi, Trisha, and Cindy. He was a proud grandfather to three grandsons: Trevor, Caden, and Avery, who brought him endless joy.
A Mass to celebrate Ron’s life will be held on Friday, June 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Most Blessed Sacrament Church.
Ron will be remembered for his love of family and animals, his tough exterior with a soft inside, his service to the church, his dry sense of humor, and his love of inappropriate jokes.
