Sandra Elaine Boice

Sandra Elaine Boice, age 80 of Arlington, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2021. She was born on May 30, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of George William Sears and Eldoris Marie Koehl Sears. Sandra met her husband, David Boice, on a blind date and they married in September of 1962. They celebrated 55 years of marriage together before his passing in 2018.

Sandra had a heart of gold and loved to help others. She went to school and became a registered nurse, working in various hospitals from pediatrics to cancer hospitals. Sandra and her husband were active members of First Presbyterian Church, Arlington. She had a love for quilting and was a member of the Quilters Guild of Arlington and the Friendship Circle. In addition, Sandra loved music, reading, traveling, cards, cooking, Sunday comics, and board games. Most of all, Sandra cherished her family and they will miss her warm smile and witty sense of humor.

Sandra is survived by her daughters Debbie Boice and Betsy Moll and husband Jason; grandchildren Paul Carrocci and wife Lardy, Mellissa Carrocci, Geneva Tristan and husband Paul, Barbara Moll, and Nicholas Moll; great grandchildren Gracie, Riley, and Mason Tristan; and her pup, Trixie. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, and daughter Barbara Boice.

A graveside service will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Parkdale Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 3:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
