

Steven Suarez was born on April 21, 1965 in Manhattan, New York to Rose Marie Ruiz and Serafin Suarez. Steven married Melissa Y. Suarez on August 12, 2011 which began a new journey of life for both of them.
Steven passed away on December 28, 2020. He followed his Mother in passing Rose Marie Ruiz, his Father Serafin Suarez, his Grand parents, and his Father in-Law, George Selestino.
Steven leaves behind his wife Melissa Y. Suarez of Arlington, Texas, his brother Felix Ruiz of Tampa, Florida; daughters Monica Nichole Rojas of Lewisville, Texas, Geniva Marie Rojas of Arlington, Texas, Rebecca Ray Mendoza of Arlington, Texas; son Paul Gregory Rojas of Arlington, Texas (Andra Rojas). Later in life they added to the family: Ryan Barajas of Grand Prairie, Texas and Lawrence Oliver of Grand Prairie, Texas. Combined in all, Steven inherited 15 grand kids in all. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Lidia Y. Selestino of Lewisville, Texas.
Steven was a Christian throughout his life. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 26 years and held many different position until he worked his way up to being a Maintenance Mechanic at the Dallas NDC. Steven had many hobbies, his favorite hobby was the LOVE of music. Steven was part of a worship group for many years, serving the Lord with the voice that he was gifted with, and which then lead to singing with an R&B group: The Legends of Funky Town. He also enjoyed the love of baseball throughout his life and was a die hard Yankee fan.
Steven joined The United States Marine Corps back in June 25, 1985 and served until March 12, 1996. He was proud to be a Marine to the end and he embraced what he learned while serving, passing those skills and knowledge within his life to his children, grandchildren, and friends. While in the Marines, Steven moved his way up to becoming a Sergeant, Correction Specialist. He received a Rifle Expert Award, National Defense Service Medal, a Good Conduct Medal with 2 Stars, an Overseas Service Ribbon with 1 Star, a Certificate Of Commendation, and many Letters of Appreciation.
Steven Suarez touched so many lives everywhere he went.
Steven, we love you and we will miss you so.
