

Sydney Broyles, age 62 of Arlington, passed away on December 3, 2017, with her loving family at her side. She was born on February 17, 1955 in Ft. Worth, Texas, the daughter of Jerline and Harold Champion. Sydney married Johnnie Broyles on May 17, 1975, and they celebrated 42 years of marriage together.
Sydney is survived by her husband Johnnie; son Jonathan Broyles and wife Chance; daughter Alison Coffey and husband John; grandchildren Grayson Broyles and Mia, Matthew, and Miles Coffey; two sisters; one brother; and her father. Sydney was preceded in death by her mother.
Sydney and her husband met at a young age and Johnnie knew Sydney loved him after their third date when she kissed him on the cheek and said, “You’re fun.” Sydney and her husband were members of Pantego Bible Church. She worked for over 40 years as a paralegal for Wilson, White and Doby, in Fort Worth. Sydney was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals and desserts for her family and friends. Sydney also enjoyed collecting many lamb items and loved the Christmas season of giving. Family was Sydney’s pride and joy and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, all of whom will miss her warm and kind heart.
