After graduating from Greenville High School with honors she started her career at Bell Helicopter and retired after 30 years of service.
In 1953, Wanda met her soul mate Hubert “Hootie” Hartsfield and they were happily married in 1954 until he passed away in June of 2009. They had three children, Hootann, Stevie and Nanette.
Wanda was a faithful member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ since 1959.
She loved music, playing her trumpet, roller skating, was excellent at Scrabble and, embroidering. Spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do.
Wanda was predeceased by her loving Husband Hubert “Hootie” Hartsfield, her Father Lawrence Rogers, Mother Mary Faye Higgins, Sister Nancy Strauss and, Granddaughter Samantha Nicole Hartsfield.
She is survived by Daughter Hootann Daughabaugh and her Husband Dennis, Son Stevie Leon Hartsfield and Wife Christine and, Daughter Nanette Beale and her Husband Steve, her six Grandchildren, seven Great- Grandchildren and, one Great-Great-Grandchild.
Interment will be held Monday February 28th at Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington, Texas at 2 pm.
