William “Bill” Troy Breedlove, 75, passed away on February 16, 2026, leaving this world and entering the presence of his Lord and Savior. A devoted believer, creative spirit, and joyful dreamer, Bill lived a life marked by faith, imagination, and deep love for his family.
Bill was born on August 18, 1950, in Los Angeles. He proudly served in the United States Navy, an experience that helped shape his independence and adventurous spirit.
An entrepreneur at heart, Bill’s professional life reflected both his creativity and technical talent. His favorite work involved fiber optics, a field that allowed him to blend innovation with artistry. From creating signs along the Las Vegas Strip to installing a breathtaking night sky in a private home in Barbados, his work quite literally lit up the world. He also worked in construction before concluding his career at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.
Above all else, Bill loved the Lord. He was well known for sharing the Gospel with anyone who would listen—and often with those who were not planning to. His faith was not quiet or hidden; it was lived boldly, spoken freely, and shared joyfully.
Bill deeply loved his family. He is survived by his daughter, Carrie Hamilton and her husband, Craig; his son, Ryan Breedlove and his wife, Teri; five grandchildren—Devin, Averi, Caiden, Owen, and Caleb—who brought him immense pride and joy; and two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Parker. He is also survived by his sister, Cindy Lindsey of Tennessee.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and many of his closest and dearest friends.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, Bill was funny, goofy, and unmistakably loud. He had a gift for thoughtful and creative gift-giving—nothing was ever simple or ordinary. Every gift came with a story, a surprise, or a bit of fun, just like him. He loved the beach, and Hawaiian shirts were absolutely his signature style. His creative spirit shone brightly in every part of his life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a Generations Church of Granbury, 5718 East US Hwy 377, Granbury, TX 76049 on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
