Nécrologie de Annasophia Tevi Dan
Our sweet angel, Annasophia Tevi Dan, left this earth suddenly yet peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2023. She leaves behind her loving family and friends who miss her sorely and is loved eternally. Annasophia Tevi Dan, rooted in Cambodian and Greek parents, was born on Tuesday, September 20, 2005, in Arlington, VA, and raised in Alexandria, VA. Annasophia was baptized Greek Orthodox at St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church in Falls Church, VA, on September 30, 2006. Annasophia means “grace” (Anna), “wisdom” (Sophia), and “angel” (Tevi). She was fierce in spirit with a strong personality and a nurturing soul. She loved reading, and caring for animals, including her beloved pet dog Charley and cat Veronica. She expressed her individuality through her love for fashion, music, and art. She had a natural athleticism and competed with her high school cross-country team. Annasophia’s laugh and smile were infectious and lit up with those around her. From an early age, she always had a witty and sarcastic sense of humor, just like her father. She loved goofing around, spending time with her family through family meals, playing cards, watching movies, and traveling; she embraced her life to the fullest. Annasophia will live forever in our hearts. Annasophia is forever cherished and treasured by her loving family: Her Parents, Darin Dan and Amna Khan; her Mother, Christina Masters and her Godmother, Dr. Nicole Christacos. Annasophia also says farewell to her Aunts Sidory Dan-Perry, Mary Dan, and Sochenda Albuin; her Uncles Martin Perry and Carlo Albuin; her Cousins Jasmine Skye Perry, Isobel Dara Perry, Faelynn Theresa Woodward; her Grandparents Sipo and Kim Dan; and her extended families. She is also preceded by her grandmother, Anne Masters, and her cousin Saahirah Nasreen Dan. In place of flowers, donations can be made in her name through any of the three charitable organizations that held importance to her life: National Alliance on Mental Illness: https://www.nami.org/Home ReadyKids: https://readykidscville.org Best Friends Animal Society: https://bestfriends.org/ A celebration of Annasophia’s life will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Murphy Funeral Homes at 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Prayer and funeral will be held in Annasophia’s honor at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, at Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church at 3149 Glen Carlyn Rd., Falls Church, VA 22041.
