Elbridge Lee

It is with great sadness that the Bureau of Information Resource Management announces the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Mr. Elbridge Lee, on May 21, 2021 in Washington, DC. Elbridge Lee (known as “Lee”) began his career with the Department in 2006 in the Foreign Service. He was known to his many colleagues and friends for his kindness and patience toward all he encountered. His cheerfulness and dedication made him a friend to everyone he met. Lee was the epitome of integrity. His dedication to both job and colleague was unsurpassed. Lee was the consummate professional which naturally led to the position of a great mentor who treated everyone with dignity and respect. Lee had a beautiful spirit and energy that will be long be remembered. In addition to previously serving in Washington, Fort Lauderdale, Frankfurt, Addis Ababa, Lima, and Montreal, his most recent assignment was in New Delhi as an Information Programs Supervisor. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife Daudier-Josiane “Josie” Lee and daughters Naomi Sara (18) and Emanuela (15).
