

Garry Morrison Ewing, 71, of Arlington, VA, died unexpectedly on September 26, 2018, at his home. Garry was born on Dec. 11, 1946 to the late George G and Kathryn M. Ewing. Garry was a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College. He earned his master’s degree and his law degree from William and Mary. Garry worked as an attorney in the Washington, D.C. area. He retired as an attorney for Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
Garry was preceded in death by his parents, George G. and Kathryn M. Ewing, and by his step-daughter, Chi Constant.
Garry is survived by his wife, Tuyet Ewing, of the home, stepdaughter Lan (Garrick) Chang of Davis, CA., stepsons Lam (Jennie) Ngo of DeBary, Fl., and Chau Ngo of Seattle WA, son-in-law retired Col. Harry Constant (USMC) of Cota de Caza, CA, and five step-grandchildren, Kelly, Lani, Madison, Sheridan, and Kate. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Wayne) Robinette of Hickory, NC, nephew Christopher Robinette of Chandler, AZ, and niece, Elizabeth (Trent) Jolley, and great-niece, Avery Jolley of Hickory, NC.
A private family time was held at Murphy Funeral Home in Arlington, VA.
Donations in memory of Garry can be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Av, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601. At the time of his death, Garry was caring for his wife who had developed Alzheimer’s.
