CPL Harvey Snook III, ACPD

Harvey is survived by his loving Mother Sandra Brizgint Snook of Wilkes-Barre, PA, nieces Caitlin and Lauren McDermott of Dallas, PA, God Children Madison and Colin Lafley of Stafford County VA and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Harvey Snook, Jr. of Wilkes-Barre.

Harvey was born December 31, 1966 in Wilkes-Barre, PA where he attended E.L. Meyers High School and King’s College earning degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology.

Harvey was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He was a Corporal in the Arlington County Police Department for nearly 27 years serving as a Patrolman and member of the K9 Unit earning multiple commendations including: The Arlington County Meritorious Action Award, The Police Service Award, and The Sons of the American Revolution Law Enforcement Commendation Medal. Harvey was also recognized as a Pentagon First Responder during the September 11th terror attack in 2001.

In addition to his illustrious career, Harvey will be most remembered for his incredible acts of kindness, his unconditional love for his two dogs (K9 Russ and his companion Jager), and his passion for hunting and fishing.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harvey’s name to the Arlington County Police Department Friends and Family Fund.
