Helen Weaver

Helen Weaver passed away on January 4, 2017 at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virginia. She was born in Jamaica Queens, New York on August 10, 1936 to parents who immigrated to this country from Italy. She was richly proud of her Italian heritage and often thought of visiting Italy. She met and married Richard Weaver, her husband of 46 years, in 1958 while he was in the United States Navy stationed in New York. She moved to Northern Virginia at the age of 22 to begin her new life and start a family. She was very religious attending church every Sunday and devoted herself to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is widowed by her husband Richard Weaver and leaves behind 2 children, Richard John Weaver and Cheryl Kayhan, 4 grandchildren, Christina Weaver, Kyle Kayhan, Alexus Weaver and Matthew Weaver and 3 great grandchildren, Alexander Weaver-Arevalo, Leila Arevalo and Anna Arevalo . A memorial service will be held at the Arlington Funeral Home 4510 Wilson Blvd, in Arlington, Virginia on Monday, January 9th at 5:30. A viewing will be held on the same day starting at 3:30. Grave site service and burial will take place At Ashlawn Memorial Gardens in Crumpler, North Carolina on Saturday, January 14th at noon.
