Dear Raymond:

I am very sorry for your loss of dear Irene. I got to know her working the Holy Transfiguration Food Festival for many years. We worked in the kitchen preparing food for the festival. It was a pleasure to work with her and she was pleasant to all those around her. May she rest in peace.

My dearest Renie,
Rest in peace until I see you and we go for a walk on the other side.
I promise not to walk so fast.

Irene’s sense of humor and way of telling a personal story often had me laughing for days. I will miss her smile and her lovely voice when she sat near me at Sunday Liturgy. Rest In Peace, dear friend.

Ray, I’m sad for your devastating loss. You are in my prayers and I’m thankful for your love and devotion to Irene and the many happy memories that will be treasured as your heart heals. Irene was a beautiful soul with a terrific sense of humor and a fabulous laugh — just like her mother. Although we hadn’t seen each other for many years, we exchanged cards and notes. Her lovely cards were keepsakes. I was blessed to know her and proud to claim her half siblings as precious my first cousins.
