I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Fallon in my office during his 89th year. We had to do a fair amount of dental work on him.  I have to say of all the "senior"  patients I have treated (I have treated a lot). I have never met anyone as pleasant and appreciative as Mr. Follin. As difficult as it was to transfer him from the wheel chair to the dental chair, He never complained.  It was an honor to work with him particularly since he was the son of a Mosby Ranger.  We will miss him

Walton was one of those delightful, memorable people that you never forget.  I remember how proud he was to tell me that his father was a Confederate veteran which made him, Walton, the youngest immediate descendant of anyone in America of someone who fought in the Civil War. I hope I got that distinction right...!  He was a man full of great stories and good humor.  It was a pleasure to have known him!

I can remember traveling to Virginia to visit family as a child and Uncle Walton was always someone I looked forward to seeing.  He always took an interest in people personally; he had a huge impact on everyone in his life.  He will be missed.

My depeast sympathy to the family of Mr. Follin.  I have fond memories of Mr. Follin when I attended school with his son Walton Lee Follin.  Mr. Follin processed the first deer I ever brought home in his back yard, his son and I use to dear hunt together quite often.  I will always have fond memories of him.

Uncle Walton you are surely loved and missed....I will always cherish the memories I have fishing (falling overboard loosing your best fishing pole), spending time at Shady Rest smoking cigars with you, going to the zoo and the gorilla spitting on you, eating Good Humor ice cream out on the big rock in front of your house, sledding at the farm...I could go on but just want you to know you gave me many special memories I will never forget. Uncle Walton you will always have a very special place in my heart and I will never forget our times together. Love you always...

Uncle Walton was truly a gentleman. I remember him best by his sense of humor, warm spirit, and compassionate heart. Lots of happy childhood memories. He will always have a special place in my heart.

Such a fascinating man with a compelling legacy: A World War II vet who was born just as World War I was ending to a father who rode with the fabled Gray Ghost. Sometime ago, I recall reading the transcript of an oral history by Mr. Follin, which he shared with the Great Falls Historical Society. Today's history-deprived youths would do well to find it, study it, and learn from it. Sincerest condolences to his family and friends from Mosby's Confederacy and Stonewall's Valley.

Walton was a true Southern Gentleman. As a son of a former Mosby Ranger, he was a great source of information about Mosby's Confederacy, and he was always willing to share it. May he rest in pease.

Walton had a cheerful personality and brought many a smile to family gatherings.  There will be fond remembrances when those who knew him gather to reminisce.  He will be missed.    Barbara Brown Gratto

I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to Punky, Tom and Linda, Rick and Lynda, the grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.  Your father was a gracious man with great patience.   On a personal note, I would like to say "thanks" for sharing your father with my family for the past 55 years.  We never  saw your father as "just" a brother-in-law, or an uncle by marriage, we saw him as family.  Regardless of the celebration or holiday, your dad always had a seat at the Hutchison table.

For the longest time, he had us all convinced that he could remove his thumb, that he could pull a quarter out from behind our ears, and that he did have a live 
snake in that burlap bag.  

Whether we were crabbing at Muses' beach, water skiing at Shady Rest, sledding on the Hutchison Farm in Chantilly, three wheeling at Oakley Farm in Orange, or going to show-n-tell with my nephew's Dallas and Tyler, he always took the time to make each of us feel so special.

I am so grateful for the blessing of having such a wonderful uncle, and for the sure and certain hope that he is freed from pain and is at rest now in heaven.  We are comforted in the hope of the resurrection even as we mourn our family loss. Heaven is indeed now a richer place, and with Uncle Walton being reunited with Aunt Bina, Uncle Lewis, Uncle Wilmer and dad, heaven is likely a bit livelier as well.

My dear sweet "Uncle Walton"....I miss you already!  Yes, this is your favorite girlfriend, Sally. We have shared so many laughs on those Sunday afternoons chowing down on those delicious KFC chicken legs!  You deserved to have your favorites!  You always made me feel so special just by your constant smile on your face.  We shared a few jokes....oldies but goodies and just laughed all over again. I truly will miss you and those "good old days". Only you and I know Lisa was not your favorite!

Grandpa, thank you for all the memories in my childhood.  I recall so many fond times at Shady Rest. I was always a firecracker away (inside that old cannon) from personally halting the advancing British  fleet of 1812  sailing up the Potomac towards DC. You made a difference to me and I am proud to pass on our history and stories to your  Great Grand Children (Lorelle and Jared). Forever your Grandson.......... Steve Gillig.

What can I say about my boyfriend. James you were one of my favorite customers.  You put a smile on my face everytime we talked. I enjoyed every minute I was able to spend with you.  You made my job so pleasant!  I will miss you. You will forever be part of my memories. As for Sally, I knew you liked me better!

GOD bless you Uncle Walton.  We loved you so much.  You were a wonderful, kind man.  We enjoyed every moment we spent with you over the past 6 years.  You entertained us with your sense of humor and your stories from the past.  And you taught us how to be appreciative of what you have, whether small or big.  Little Ricky will miss all the "head bumpers" you gave him which made him laugh so hard.  Thank you for being like a grandfather to him.  May you rest in peace.

Walton was a wonderful person, He had a great humorest quality about him. I loved listening to his stories as he was also a great jokester.We laughed alot together  along with his late wife Bina Ruth. I'll never forget him or Bina they were GOOD people.  Love to the family .          Jeri

Lee Camp 726 Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) of Alexandria send out our loving thoughts and prayers to you in this time of sorrow; please accept our heartfelt sympathy and may the peace which comes from the memories of love shared comfort you now and in the days ahead. It was a blessing for myself and past commander, John Lumsden, to visit with Walt last Saturday to present him with his 25 year pin from his camp members.
