James McCormick Kendall was born on November 21, 1949 in Washington D.C., but he grew up and lived in Arlington, Virginia the rest of his life. He was never married and had no children. He is survived by a brother, David Robert Kendall and his wife Peggy, of Bowie, Maryland and a sister, Margaret Anne Belfield and her husband Stuart, of Reston, Virginia. He is also survived by a niece, Stephanie N. Barnard, of Woodbine, Maryland. He graduated from George Mason University in 1971 and he worked 38 years for the Social Security Administration until he retired in December 2014. He will be deeply missed by his family, co-workers and friends. A memorial service will be held on January 17th at 1:00 p.m. at 13112 Crutchfield Avenue, Bowie, MD 20720; 301-383-1240. The first hour will be a gathering to celebrate his life and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
