

Janice Cobb Juergens of McLean VA passed away on January 16, 2022. Janice was born in Boston, Massachusetts to David and Esther (Mooney) Cobb on November 22, 1931. She married John Goucher Juergens in Boston on January 14, 1956.
Janice graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She worked in a law office and later as Executive Secretary in the communications industry with long-term positions at SIRSA and PBS.
She lived, and loved, the whirlwind life of a Navy wife. Frequent moves in the early years took the family to California, Hawaii, Connecticut, and Virginia. While John was at sea, Janice handled everything for the family. Her style and keen business skills led to a series of striking homes. She and John eventually retired in the Northern Virginia area.
Janice loved entertaining and dining out, reading, a good cocktail and a clever joke, finding the perfect gift, and traveling with John.
She is survived by her husband John; two daughters: Leslie-Ann (Paul) Brinker; and Patricia Tetro (Jack Wilbern); and two grandsons: Robert Brinker and Christopher Tetro. Inurnment at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD at a future date. Special thanks to the staff at Arleigh Burke Pavilion for their attentive and compassionate care.
