

BALDUF, Kevin Brian Sgt. USMC. Age 27 of Nashville, TN. KIA May 12, 2011 in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Kevin was a 2002 graduate of David Lipscomb High School. He delayed entry into the Marine Corps and entered boot camp right out of high school. He had three deployments: Afghanistan in 2004, Iraq in 2006 and Afghanistan in 2011. He received the Bronze Star with Combat Valor in 2004. Proceeded in death by his grandparents, Clifford and Lillian Balduf. He is survived by his wife, Amy Balduf; daughters, Stephanie & Eden Balduf; mother, Virginia Newsom; father & step mother, Clifford "Chip" & Tonya Balduf; twin brother, Kyle Balduf; grandparents, Charlie & Jo Newsom; step-mother, Carrie Balduf; step-sisters, Anna (Brant) Boner, Tisha (Joe) Wallace and Kara Balduf; step-brother, Cyrus Kavari; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 2 - 8 p.m., and Monday, June 13, 2011 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., at Woodmont Hills Family of God, 3710 Franklin Pike. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 13, 2011 at 3 p.m., at Woodmont Hills Family of God. Interment Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA with Military Honors on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 1 p.m. EDT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www. woundedwarriorproject.org; or to Woodmont Hills Family of God, designated to the Caring Ministry in Memory of Sgt. Kevin Balduf.
