Lynn Anne Wassyng

Lynn Anne Brown Wassyng, age 68, of Centreville, VA, passed away on November 29, 2021. A graduate of the University of Maryland, she was an editor for the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, where she met Eric Wassyng, her husband of 36 years.

Lynn is also survived by her daughter, Samantha Wassyng; sister, Debra B. Contreras (Ricardo); brother, James Kenneth Brown (Barbara); brother, Craig Alan Brown (BJ); and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be celebrated at Murphy Funeral Home in Arlington, VA on Monday, December 20 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
