Mom Merry, You were such a Beautiful Christian Women who loved God and her family so much.  Kelly and I were so blessed to have spent so many precious times with you.  I know you are rejoicing in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, your wonderful husband and children that have gone on before you.  You will be missed!  We love you!

I will keep forever sacred the many,many memories I have with you; from traveling, back rubs, holidays, stop-in-visits, and everything in between, I loved every time we were together. Your beautiful spirit is one-of-a-kind and will be something I hold near and dear to my heart always. I love you very much.

Living so far from family is never easy, especially in time like this.  I was 3 years old (37 years ago)the last time I saw Grand Mommy but loved hearing the stories my dad would tell us about her.  Rest in peace and give Daddy a huge hug and kiss for me.

I truely cherish every moment I was able to spend with you. I will keep our many memories tucked away for when I need them most. You were a huge part of my life and taught me so much. I will miss your smile, laugh, and warm heart. You were a blessing to have in my life.

I always enjoyed going to see great grandmother "nana" with my mamaw "Patsy" all growing up. If it was eaither for a vist or to bring her some goodies from holiday dinners. I have alot of memories of my childhood going to see her and spending time with her. Even though i didnt know how to play, i would always sit there an play the piano and she would act like i was playing it good when iknow it didnt sound good at all (haha). We would go down in the basment an she would watch me play pool. I always had so much fun going to see her and she would always have the bigest smile on her face when she would see me. Even though it has been awhile since i was able to see her, there was not a day that would go by that i didnt want to just get in the car and go to her house to let her know i was thinking about her. She had a great since of humor an was a all around beautiful person that will be missed alot. My mother, brother,my unborn daughter and I " Shelley,Charles(cj) Juleah an Leah Taylor" will not be able to make it even though we wish we could. We are sending our ever lasting Love, May you rest in peace nana, give my father an mamaw our love too. Forever in our hearts xoxo

I always enjoyed getting to come to Aunt Mary's house.  As a boy coming to the house on Vermont Street, I remember times climbing the apple tree in the back yard and eating green apples, roaming the neighborhood with Jackie, going to the skating rink, or sometimes just sitting on the porch swing.  What I remember most is that for every challenge or problem encountered, Aunt Mary would say something with her style of humor which was a blend of dry wit with a splash of sarcasm.  By the time they moved to Lexington Street visits became less frequent as teenage years brought about the business of work, college, marriage and a move to South Carolina.  Most of our visits during those years took place around Christmas.  That was always a special time getting to visit when most or all of the family was down in the basement; some around the furniture on one side of the room and others around the pool table. There were always lots of tales told on one another and lots of laughter.

To Aunt Mary's Family,
Many days have gone by and I'm sorry to say we didn't keep in touch.  Life comes and goes, so very fast and there's always something that needs to be done or fixed or something.
But there is an irreplaceable feeling that I wouldn't give up for the world--called family, a sense of belonging, of being loved.  We're still family, though our numbers are getting smaller. But that just means there is more love to give to one another.  I will miss Aunt Mary and her beautiful smile.

I have wonderful memories of Aunt Mary for so many years at the home on Vermont Street and visitng on Lexington Street.  These last several years of not seeing her have been very sad for me.  I will continue to miss her.  Linda

Remembering my sister as nine years older than me brings back lots of pleasant events.  She was my schoolteacher when I was four.  I would help her bake cakes.  After she grew up, got married and had a family, she would invite me to visit and play with her children.   It was at her home in Vienna where I met my future husband.  Many wonderful memories.
