

Paul N. Johnson, Jr. of Centreville, VA, passed away on March 10, 2014, at Emeritus Senior Living of Manassas, VA.
He was born September 17, 1926, in Washington, DC. He was the son of the late Paul N. Johnson and Ressie Lambert Johnson. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Trees Johnson, in 2004; and three brothers, Melvin Johnson, Jack Johnson, and Jimmy Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Paul N. (Marcia) Johnson, III of Thurmont, MD; Sandra Hazelwood (Terry Forness) of Broad Run, VA; Sharon (Gordon) Corsie of Pleasanton, CA and Shirley (Emory) Shover of Centreville, VA; three step children, Mary Ann Carver of Henderson, NC; Bob Johnson of Sarasota, FL; and David Johnson of Vienna, VA. Paul was blessed with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Betty White of Romney, WV; Brenda Dorchak of Rehoboth Beach, DE; and three brothers, Richard Johnson of Falls Church, VA; Jerome Johnson of Bealton, VA; and Clifford Johnson of Locust Grove, VA. He was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews and an abundance of great-nieces and nephews.
Paul served in the US Army Air Corps in Germany from 1945 – 1946, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He worked for the Arlington County Government for over 35 years where he served as Chief of the Printing Division upon his retirement, in 1981.
Paul always had a deep love for family and friends. He had a great love for the Washington Redskins and the Washington Senators onto today’s Washington Nationals; and was an avid golfer for over 60 years.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at Arlington Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA; with a Memorial Service following at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will be take place at a later date.
