Pauline Wilhelmina Franko (100) of Arlington, VA went peacefully to be with the Lord on January 28, 2022. Pauline was born on March 29, 1921 in Washington, DC to Andrew John Koerner and Pauline Ruth Benton. She graduated from Washington Lee High School in 1938 and went to work at Frozen Custard in Rosslyn, VA during the war. Shortly after, Pauline went on to work as a secretary at the Pentagon, and then as manager of Arlington Loans. Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Joseph Franko; her parents; son, Maurice Robert Franko; grandson, Edward Ray Smith, Jr.; and granddaughter, Tracy Ann Kolarik. She is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Ann Kolarik (Jack), Shirley Jean Smith (Edward), Linda Lee Fettig (David); seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Murphy Funeral Home, located at 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203. Burial to immediately follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
