Philip Edward Cawley

Phil Cawley passed away peacefully in Arlington, Virginia on April 13, 2021. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on April 7, 1948 and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia. Phil graduated from the University of Virginia and Wake Forest University. Most of his career was spent as a senior human resources executive at Bank of America. An avid sports fan, especially UVA sports, car enthusiast and animal lover, he spent most of his leisure time sharing his interests with friends. He is survived by his sister Janet Cawley, life partner Manuel Rubio, and his Dalmatian, London.

Phil will be cremated at Murphy’s Funeral Home in Arlington, Virginia. In his memory donations can be made to the Animal Welfare League of Arlington at www.awla.org. A celebration of Phil’s life will be held when conditions permit.
