Kristen, you are in my thoughts. As I remember Phil, I remember that he was one of the good ones in HS. Always kind. I will always cherish the trip I made up to DC to see my brother and Phil drove me safely in and out of the city and knew just where to go. Afterwards he and I went to lunch and had an opportunity to catch up after not seeing each other for many years. It was not long afterwards that I heard Phil had passed away. Im so thankful we got to spend that day together!!🙏

When we worked downtown together, he sort of took me under his wings and taught me all about inventory management, which allowed me to go on and become the Assistant Manager at an Antique, Furniture, and Design Shop on Capitol Hill.

How do you describe a prince among men?   That was my dear friend Phillip.  He was  an exceptional and selfless man.  A man who adored his family. He loved his country; he was a true patriot.  He loved his church and those fortunate enough to to be his friend. Phillip and I were friends for 25 years and he was always present at every occasion from family dinners at home to Joseph’s first communion and baseball games.  I will never forget his roarous laughter coming from the baseball stands while Joseph’s little league team impersonated the Bad News Bears.  He was the best shooting partner I ever had, and the  kindest person I ever met.  I will miss you my brother.  You have left many broken hearts behind, but we will not say goodbye, because we will  meet again.

What a great loss to lose Phil so early.  It was a great joy to know him and have him as a neighbor and friend. Mr. Phil, as we called him, was a man filled with love, kindness and especially with goodness. 
My heart goes out to Phil’s family. My prayers are with Kristin, PJ, who lost a wonderful father. 
Rest In Peace, Mr. Phil, until we meet again. 

So hard to accept that my buddy Phil has gone to be with the Savoir. My wife and I are remembering all the great times we had and are blessed to have known him. If more men had a similar spirit the world would be a better place, indeed. Rest in peace, brother.

I ways remember remember Phil for his friendship, respect and smile.  We shared many years of good conversation and laughter.   I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family especially his daughter and father whom he spoke of often.  Phil, RIP my brother. You will be remembered, whenever I smoke.

I remember 5 years ago walking into OVTC and being nervous about my lack of knowledge on cigars. Phil was always welcoming and genuinely kind to all who walked in.

Like a father-figure, I am nostalgic of all the stories we shared; I shared news of  my success and of my failures, as Phil was always there, encouraging me to become a better man. 

I will miss Phil’s warm presence, humbling smile, strong opinions, and contagious laughter. Sorry for the loss to everyone and especially the family. 

I have great memories of Phil from high school. He was always kind, dependable, witty, one of the all around genuinely nice guys. We stayed in touch through the years, mostly through FB. It was not until sometime just last month that we reconnected in person. I was blessed to spend a very memorable afternoon with Phil, riding around the city where we grew up and remeniscing.  The timing of our meetup was not by accident. May you rest in peace Phil.

I remember Phil from his active days at the Knights of Columbus.  We were on the same waiter team, and he had also been a Grand Knight, which our ceremonial team supported.
So sorry to hear that he is gone, as he was truly one of the good guys.

My deepest condolences on the untimely passing of Phil. I meet few Phil around 2016 as a manager of OVTC we quickly became friends both being Catholic both us were members in the K of C and both us conservative. Phil was good man with a good heart and kindness you rarely see in people I going to miss him alot
