Reeta Ann Russo

On January 26, 2014 in Arlington, VA, Reeta Ann Russo of McLean, VA passed away surrounded by her family. Reeta was born and raised in Utah where she spent her summers on Cedar Mountain with her family. After college, she held several different jobs including ski instructor, PE teacher and USO Club Manager in Europe where she met her future husband, then Army Lieutenant Vincent M. Russo. They married in 1965 and proceeded to have three sons. Together they traveled the world, living in Germany, Italy and multiple places throughout the US. Reeta was very involved with the Army spouse groups, excelled in bowling and tennis leagues and remained an active volunteer at base thrift shops. She was a beautiful, supportive wife, mother and friend. She is survived by sisters Maudell Smith and Geraldean Stephan; husband Vince; sons Brian, Mark and Nick; daughters-in-law Lisa, Laura and Jessica; grandchildren Nicky, Jacob, Toby, Christopher, Michael, Luke, Magdeline and Mariana; and granddaughter-in-law Lela. Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 2nd from 2-4 pm at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd, Arlington where a service will be held at 4 pm. Burial will be at a later time in Arlington National Cemetery.
