Robert William Jones, JR Robert William Jones, Jr., age 61, peacefully joined our heavenly father on January 21st, 2018, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with chronic illness. Robert was born on May 1st 1956, in Arlington, Virginia to Janet Lee Smith and Robert William Jones. As an Inventor, he created, patented and sold, GutterStuff – a gutter foam filter, which was one of his greatest accomplishments. He went to Wakefield High School and mostly enjoyed burning rubber and racing his 1970 Camaro Z28, as well as, his ZO6 Corvette. He was also an award-winning top-notch Slot-car race driver and built his first Passive Solar House at the age of 25, where he received a write-up in the local newspaper for his efforts. Robert is survived by his wife, (Barbara); son, (Patrick); son (Nicholas); daughter, (Heather); ex-wife, (Jodee); granddaughter, (Lilly); mother, (Janet); father, (Robert); step-father (Patrick); brother, (Mitchell); and sister-in-law (Tammy). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Murphy Funeral Home in Arlington, Virginia. The funeral visitation and service will take place at Arlington Baptist Church, 714 South Monroe Street, Arlington Virginia on Saturday, January 27th, 2018. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and the Funeral service will be from 12:00 P.M – 12:30 P.M. A reception will follow from 12:30 -2:00 P.M.
