Colonel William James Tito, Jr., 80, passed away on January 2, 2013 in Arlington, Virginia. Born in the Bronx, New York on November 12, 1932, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Mariejane Darragh Tito, and his daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Ron Wright. Survived by his sons William III, Hugh, and Andrew, daughters-in-law Debbie, Vickie and Barb, and by his cousin Dolores Tricarico and her husband Vince, as well as seven grandchildren: Alex Wright and Greg, Lara, Matt, Claire, Chris, and Addie Tito, and one great grandchild, Rio Wright, and many other loving family members.
Col. Tito spent 28 years as an officer in the United States Army in the Corps of Engineers, retiring in 1982. He was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather. He valued honesty and honor, and loved reading and working on crossword puzzles. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Arlington, Virginia. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice.
