Casandra A. Latimer, age 65, of Arlington, Washington was reunited with her parents in heaven on January 2, 2014. Casandra was born to Melvin H. Kinney and Mary Jeanne Kinney (Boivin) on August 12, 1948, in Everett, Washington. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School and Everett High School. Casandra stayed at home and raised her children until they started school, at which time she began a 17 year career working for the Arlington School District. Casandra continued working with children in the early learning setting until her health declined and she was no longer able to work. Family and travel were two of Casandra’s greatest joys. She enjoyed spending time with her family, recalling many great memories she made with them. Casandra delighted in taking many trips with her family, traveling by train for many years before discovering that she also enjoyed traveling by plane. Casandra’s most recent family trip was a wonderful week at Cape Cod. Casandra leaves behind her beloved children Kandi Latimer, Karen Latimer, and Jody (Dawn) Latimer; dearly loved sister and brother Maralee Hall and Perry Kinney; much-loved grandchildren Katie, Whitney and Brenton Latimer; honorary daughters Max Selin, Kim Meacham and Mary Chase; and very special cousins Cheri, Bonnie, Nancy, Trena, Bill, Marianne, and Bobby, along with many other family members and friends that she was very close to. She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Jeanne Kinney, cousin Wanda Woods, and her best friends Carol Meacham and Reva Daily. A dedicated and loving team of family members and friends cared for Casandra the last few years of her life. A special thank you to daughters Kandi and Karen, sister Maralee, cousin Cheri, and caregivers/friends Patty and Aretta.
