Dagny Sundell

Dagny Sundell, 97, passed away December 18, 2012 in Marysville, WA. She was born to Olaus and Lottie Wang December 21, 1914 in Maddock, ND. Dagny attended the Agricultural College in Maddock. She worked for a while as a dietician, but her main focus was caring for her family. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Lutheran Church. Dagny enjoyed quilting, crocheting and cooking. She was considered the best of the lefsa bakers and her family called her the best cook ever. Dagny was a very resilient, strong, caring, and loving Christian woman. Preceding her in death was her husband of 35 years, Paul E. Sundell Sr. in 1973; siblings, Olaf, Hilma, Sophie, Viola, Thora and granddaughter Stacy Murrietta. Dagny is survived by her children, Audrey Erickson of Marysville, Paul (Karen) Sundell Jr. Yuma, AZ, Cheryl (Ray) Hammer of Marysville, WA, Steven Sundell of Federal Way, WA, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012, 12-5 pm at Weller Funeral Home, 327 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington, WA 98223. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 28, 2012, 3 p.m. at Weller Funeral Home. A service will be also held at a time and date to be determined in Maddock, ND for burial.
