

She was born to Harley and Elsie Smith, May 31, 1923 in Stanley, WI. In her early years she was brought to Snohomish, WA where she graduated from Snohomish High School in 1942. As an excellent driver she became a school bus driver among other jobs using her driving skill. Delaine’s many interests include reading, gardening, fishing, mushrooming, enjoying birds and nature, her pet dogs, RV camping, needle work, cooking and especially entertaining family and friends. She loved the years she lived on Lake Cochran. Delaine was a loving, outgoing, friendly, generous, spirited and fun woman who was very down to earth. Preceding her in death was her husband of 60 years, Eugene Gohl in 2003 and siblings, Delbert Smith and Dorothy Morgan. Surviving Delaine are her children, Byron Gohl of Erie, CO, Mike (Judy) Gohl of Nyland, CA, Cristy (Gary) Summers of Sacramento, CA, Cathy (Dan) Russell of Arlington, WA; siblings, Duane Butch (Patty) Smith of Lake Stevens, WA, Donna Aney of Arlington, WA, Dale Joan (Harold) Jewett of Snohomish, WA, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A public memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at the Arlington Free Methodist Church, 730 E. Highland Dr., Arlington, WA 98223. Interment was held previously at I.O.O.F. cemetery in Monroe, WA.
