

Eunice P. Hamlin, 93, of Darrington, WA, passed away September 29, 2011 in Arlington, WA. She was born to Ertie and Phoebe Weston September 16, 1918 in Gateway, AR. Eunice took pleasure in keeping a home for family. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, camping, gardening, canning, fishing boating, and cooking. She was a Camp Fire Girl leader and a Sunday school teacher in the Baptist Church. Eunice was a fun, faithful, honest, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Preceding her in death was her loving husband of 57 years, Ross Hamlin in 1995; brother, George Weston, Floyd Weston, John Weston, Burrel Weston; sisters, Ada Walker and Mary Weston. Surviving Eunice is her daughter Diane (Peter) Selvig of Darrington, sister Thelma Watson of LaVaca, AR; grandchildren, Mark (Jennifer) Selvig of LaConner, WA, Lori (Kevin) Takaki; great-grandchildren, Justin Selvig, Grace Selvig and Kiana Takaki. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 1272 SR 530 NE, Darrington, WA. Memorial donations may be made to Evergreen Hospice (www.evergreenhospital.org/hospice) or Darrington Memorial Dinners (non-deductable donation)
