When he was 24 he met Dena Biesheuvel and their first date was in a 1928 Model A. They were married October 14, 1937.
He was a dairy farmer until his retirement in 1972 and then he used his carpentry skills to build houses, sheds and barns around the community.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary (Mack) Green and Diane (Scott) Lundberg. Grand children Johnny (Carol) Green and Evonne (Craig) Holt. Great Grandchildren Darik Green, Anna (Josh) Pino and Darren Suit. Great Great Grand daughter Emory Pino. Also surviving him is his brother Chuck (Glenice) Kroeze and many, many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his wife of 71 years, Dena, in 2008. Also 4 brothers; Gerrit, Peter, Paul, Elmer and 8 sisters; Ann, Cora, Nellie, Carrie, Grace, Doris and Lillian.
