Born on February 21, 1942, in Aalborg, Denmark, Jonna carried with her the strength and traditions of her Danish heritage throughout her life. She grew up alongside her brothers Kjeld, Alf, and Ib before later building a life in the United States centered around family, dedication, and love.
In the mid-1980s, Jonna and her beloved husband, John Erling Jensen, built the family home on Camano Island — a place that became the heart of countless gatherings and memories. Together they built not just a house, but a life centered around faithfulness, resilience, and devotion to their family.
Jonna was preceded in death by her husband John Jensen; her son Johnny Jensen; and her brother Ib Knudsen. She is survived by her brothers Kjeld Knudsen and Alf Knudsen; her son Bob Jensen and wife Lora, along with their children Sarah, Clayton, Luke, and daughter Cholie; and her son Erik Jensen and wife Sabrena, along with their daughters Erika, Emily, and Abigail. Her family remained the center of her life and her greatest joy.
Together, Jonna and John built a life rooted in partnership and shared adventure. They loved traveling throughout the western United States with their Good Sam RV group, forming lasting friendships along the way. At home, they enjoyed gardening side by side and preserving what they grew through canning — a tradition that brought both satisfaction and joy. They also cherished traveling south during the winters, spending time snowbirding in Arizona. Above all, they treasured time spent with their children, grandchildren, and extended family.
Those who knew Jonna will remember her quiet strength, warm spirit, and the love she gave so generously to those around her. Her legacy lives on through the family she nurtured and the memories she created.
