Richard Paul “Corky” Mathews 79, of Port Angeles, WA died April 8, 2014. Born September 12, 1934 in Everett. Graduated from Marysville Senior High School in 1954. He spent four years in the Navy, worked on tugs in Alaska, then married Lynn Cole of Arlington on August 17, 1968 and settled in Marysville to raise a family. He retired from Weyerhaeuser and moved around following the death of his loving wife Lynn in 1997. He leaves behind: daughter, Lori Pierce of Lake Stevens (husband Daren); son, Mark of Houston, TX (wife Leti); grandchildren, Lauren (husband Travis), William, Kylie (husband Chad), Michael, and Marisa; great granddaughter, Ellynore; brother, Edward and sister, Carol. He is preceded in death by: parents, Laurence V. and Stella (Fish); wife Lynn; brothers Levi, Bobby, and Wally. A memorial service and reception will be held at Weller Funeral Home in Arlington (327 N Macleod Ave) on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM with the burial immediately following at Arlington Cemetery.
