Charles W. Brown

BROWN, Charles W. 93 of Arnold, passed away in to the loving arms of his Savior on September 1, 2016. He was born August 5, 1923 in Malden, MO, the son of the late Wilson and Grace Ruth (nee Osborn) Brown. Charles was the loving husband for 70 years to Mary (nee Gordon) Brown. He was the dear father of Charles Michael (Dianne) Brown and Patrick Neil Brown. He was loving Papaw of Jennifer Michelle (Dustin) Harwell, Michael Patton Brown and William Alexander Brown. He was the beloved great Papaw of Madeline Grace Harwell. Charles the beloved brother of the late Junior Brown, Dale Brown, Norman Brown, the late Lloyd Brown, the late Carl Brown, the late Donald Gene Brown, the late Audrey Fletcher and Gerty Pennington. He was a loving uncle, cousin and friend to many.

After proudly serving his Country during World War II in the Army, Charles returned home and while visiting a friend in Arkansas met the love of his life and married Mary. Later Charles and Mary moved to the St. Louis area where Charles worked for General Motors until his retirement.

The funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 3rd 2016 at Heiligtag Lang Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd. Arnold, MO 63010. The visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Friday, September 2nd 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the military honors in Shepherd Hills Cemetery.
