Cheryl Ann Gibson

GIBSON, Cheryl Ann (nee Martin), 58, passed away at her residence on Monday, June 20, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Hatton. Cheryl was the daughter of the late Charles “Gene” Stephens and the late Alice L. Stephens (nee Ogle). Cheryl was also the step-daughter of the late Wayne “Jake” Stephens. She was the loving mother of Chrissy (Sean) Degnan, Jean Gibson and stepmother of Bobbie Jo Hatton-Brown, Cynthia Kelley, Debra Hatton and Michelle Caito-Hutchison. Cheryl was maw maw to Sebastian “Junior” Bialas, Aaron Johns, Anthony Johns, Sean Morgan, Kristin Pratt, Kasey Kelley, Kaitlyn Kelley, Rob Caito, Shelby Caito-Hutchison, Deanna Fedro, Alyssa Brown, Kody Brown, Collin Redden and Jillian Chelist. Great maw maw to Kenzlee Grace. Cheryl is the dear sister of Helen Crites, the late Jean “Jeanie” Vehlewald and the late Pamela Turner. She was an aunt, great aunt and “crazy” friend to many.

Cheryl was a free spirit full of energy and creativity. She loved to make something out of everything and anything. She often fixed her own car, it may have been with duct tape or super glue but it was “fixed”. She enjoyed time spent with family, especially when the spoons and guitar came out. She left an imprint on every person she came in contact with. Her charismatic personality was loved by everyone.

Services: Memorial Visitation will be on Monday, June 27, 2016, from 4-8:00 pm at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, Mo. 63010. Private Interment In memory of Cheryl donations may be made to Disability Resource Association 130 Brandon Wallace Way, Festus, MO 63028.
